STARTING OVER

"Starting over new already?" is the question that all of you must be asking, but I have the answer that might put your wonderment to ease.
As you may know, I vacationed in Canada and just recently returned. The marvelous lake and snow scenery can definitely put you to ease, although that and fine dining were the only entertaining things there. So only having that, you unwillingly were given an abundant amount of time to ponder and wonder. Many subjects came to mind-- New school year, friends, parties, college, and Fashion's The Word. Coming to the end of the trip, I came to the realization that Fashion's The Word is not heading towards the direction I want. I started this blog without a clear vision. Despite me loving everything about it, it wasn't where I found myself continuously updating. With a little remodeling, I'm with an idea of what direction I want to go--

1. A dual of both genders, maybe heading more towards the male side
2. A lot more personal
3. An abundant amount of fashion show reviews
4. More FASHION, less celebrities
5. Less Graphics, more content

I'm very hopeful that you may be at least half as excited as I am. If not, I aspire to make you think otherwise.
The site will be down for a few days-- Refurnishing!

Authentically, Cory K.

Obsession: Rihanna

Fashions the word... that every magazine Rihanna has been atop of illustrates. She has been an enormous obsession to vast portions of the world, just not quite to me. Like her song Umbrella, I feel as if she has been overplayed. She has been on one, too many covers. Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly admire her determination to be on every top fashion magazine's cover, but I think it is getting old. We are in desperate need of more new faces like Leighton from Gossip Girl, Alexis Bledel from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pant's 2, or Kristen Stewart from Twilight. Rihanna has been seen as the cover girl for Teen Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Glamour, Seventeen, Fabulous, Allure, and most recently InStyle. There are several others, not including the foreign magazines. Take it as you want, although I'm kind of done with all of it. Rihanna is beautiful and has exceptional style, but how many times can you interview and write about a pop/R&B artist before it gets dull?
Am I wrong? I'm willing to stand corrected; nonetheless I'll still be bored with her.

I will be gone for a few days. I am going beach camping and then flying to vacation in Canada. Yippee for me. I'll still be able to comment everyone back, for I am bringing my macbook, but I probably won't make that many new posts. Sorry and I hope I will be able to maintain all my royal readers!

Magazine: Rolling Stone / Vanity Fair

Fashion's the word... that explains a number of cover girls showcased in Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone. To speak more specifically; The Hill's stars gracing Rolling Stone's cover and the August cover girl’s of Vanity Fair. Despite these issues being separated by several months, they are still notably similar -- The covers! Call me weird, but the first thing that came to mind after looking at my most recent copy of Vanity Fair, was The Hill's invasion of Rolling Stone's cover. They were both adorned by four beautiful women, with the attire of short shorts/underwear. How congruent can you get?
The Rolling Stone issue featured- Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, Whitney Port, and Audrina Patridge. This magazine gave a short description on this fashion forward reality show, or so they say. They also gave us a scoop on all the authentic drama.
The Vanity Fair issue featured- Amanda Seyfried, Emma Roberts, Blake Lively, and Kristen Stewart. Actually, there are a lot more stars featured inside the pages, including the complete cast of Gossip Girl and the Jonas Brothers. This could well be my most favorite issue to date. Not only did they showcase multiple actors in ravishing photo spreads, but also interviewed each individually. Everyone found in this particular article are up and coming sensations!
Also! The August Vanity Fair issue has yet to hit the stands. My Aunt's friend miraculously gave her a copy. Luckily for him, he probably knows someone. She is a very loyal, yet obsessed reader of Vanity Fair. To my advantage, I paid her a visit and was able to sneak a long peak.

I renovated the site. I didn't like the previous look, but idolize the new one!

Obsession: "The Interns: Fashionistas"

Fashions the word… that would instantly come to mind when I look at the cover of The Interns: Fashionistas. Gossip Girl is on break, so why not take a peek at this fashionable, drama-filled book. This would compel to anyone with an a la mode mindset. I was roaming through the book store, scouting for an appealing fashion themed novel. As soon as I laid my eyes on The Interns, I picked it up and started reading. It was utterly alluring, completing one chapter after another at light speed. Before I new it, I terminated the entire book. Any veteran or aspiring fashion intern, like me, would completely idolize this book. It well may be an overly dramatized version of an intern’s life, but it is still amazing. I adore how the author depicted New York City. I even find myself casting actors to play these entertainingly witty characters. As I said in a previous post, “I'm definitely not a reader,” although this book totally changes my perspective on the whole situation. I am now a strong believer of fashionable reading.
To sum it all up, Chloe Walsh is a fantastic writer and I am extremely anxious to read what happens next in The Interns: Truth or Fashion. I just wish they would put a male intern is this series!
Have you read this? What did you think?
